Missionary Mavis Martin - Gone Too Soon!!

Posted by revivaltime on July 8, 2010 at 6:41 PM

Bishop G. G. Cooper and the entire Apostolic Family extend to the Martin’s Family deepest and sincere condolences on the passing of Missionary Mavis Martin who went to sleep on July3, 2010

“Mama Mavis” as she was affectionately called was a great Woman of God, gentle, sweet, kind, caring and dependable. As one of the longest serving members of this ministry, Missionary Martin distinguished herself as a true Matriarch in her love for God, the people God and the things of God.

Gentle as a dove, obedient as a lamb and willing to serve the extra mile; this Woman of God stood tall as a prayer warrior, encourager, confidant and most of all a Mother .

We extend  prayers, love and support to the family and well wishers.  Take comfort there is coming a day when all the tears will be wiped away and the gray skies will return blue!

We’ll always cherish the memories – Gone too soon

Mama Mavis gone to sleep July 3, 2010

Gone Too Soon

As we look towards the sky,

Wishing we could have said good bye,

Before you moved on,

And were forever gone,

One thing we’ll never forget,

Is our sorrow and regret,

Of not saying all we needed to say,

On your every last day.

People say live everyday as if it were your last

Look forward to the future and remember the past

But we didn’t know we would have to say bye this fast

We know when life comes to an end,

In Heaven we shall meet again

Until then we will cherish the memories – Gone too soon!!

My condolences to the family of Missionary Marvis Martin.
May the peace which comes from the memories of love shared, comfort you now and in the days ahead.
May the comfort of God help you during this difficult time.
We are thinking of you during this difficult time.
Words seem inadequate to express the sadness we feel.
Although no words can really help to ease the loss you bear, just know that you are very close in every thought and prayer.
You have my deepest sympathies on the death of your loved one.
Oh heart, if one should say to you that the soul perishes like the body, answer that the flower withers, but the seed remains.
Our hearts go out to you in your time of sorrow.
I was deeply saddened to hear of your loss. My thoughts are with you.
I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you and your family.

My deepest condolences to the family of Sis. Martin and to the Apostolic Church Family. I truly know that Sis. Martin was a great woman of God. I can remember praying wih her in those early Sunday morning prayer meetings. You are all in my prayers and the great assurance, that is very relevant, is that we will see her again!!! So, saints of God let us all take an inventory of our own lives and make sure that our calling and election is sure so that we will be able to sit at the great welcome table with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and our beloved Sis. Martin. May God comfort and bless you with all of heaven's best!!!
