About Our Beloved Bishop

Bishop Dr. G. G. Cooper, a Jamaican by birth migrated to Canada and became a Canadian citizen. He received a Divine supernatural call from God to preach and evangelize at an early age.  Bishop Cooper was Divinely inspired by God to return to his homeland, Jamaica during the social and political troublesome times of the 1980s. 

Human and capital flight, social disorder and corruption was the order of the day but traveling on a Divine Revelation Bishop Cooper returned to establish a Ministry which now has seven assemblies across the island, cable, radio, prison ministry and various other outreach ministries:

 Outreach Ministries

A graduate of Central Bible College, Bishop Cooper received his Doctorate in Divinity (DD) from Ministry International Institute (MII) in 2008. He has traveled and preached on almost every continent of the world {including the USA, Canada, Japan, Iceland, France, Bahamas, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Haiti, Greece, Germany, Ghana, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Fuji Islands and Puerto Rico}.  Recent official international travel included trips to Port Harcourt, Nigeria and Nairobi, Kenya where he met and advised state, local and government officials.


Bishop G. G. Cooper is currently the International Presiding Bishop of the Apostolic Church of God 7th Day Worldwide Fellowship which spans across approximately forty countries of the world.  He is also the Editor-in-Chief of “The Apostolic Messenger” which is the quarterly magazine of Apostolic Church of God 7th Day Worldwide.


A Marriage Officer for over twenty-one (21) years with over 270 marriages on record and an astute Counsellor, Bishop Cooper has served the citizens of Spanish Town and its environs through various community services and outreaches for the past twenty-nine (29) years. He has also done ceremonial duties for the Correctional Services, Jamaica Defence Force, Jamaica Constabulary Force and various corporate and private entities


Married for thirty-four (34) wonderful years to his dear and loving wife, Missionary Carlene Cooper, he has two beautiful daughters and is a proud grandfather.
